In order to contribute to the public and political debate about democracy, the Montesquieu Institute, ProDemos, Press centre Nieuwspoort and Filmhuis The Hague organize activities about current (political) affairs and interesting themes. These events take place in The Hague.
The debates in Press centre Nieuwspoort take place on the first Wednesday of the month. Journalist Max van Weezel moderates the discussion to which a scientist, journalist and politicians contribute. Usually the panel consists of three or four speakers.
The Politics Cafes in Studio Dudok take place on the second Tuesday of the month. Usually two experts are being interviewed. The public is also invited to actively participate in the discussion.
The Montesquieu Institute and Filmhuis The Hague regularly organise a Film & Debate evening. The event stimulates people to look at films from a political perspective and gives people the opportunity to discuss the topic with politicians and other experts.
More information on the upcoming and former activities is available on the Dutch version of this page.
