Target Group

The seminar is aimed at professionals involved in the implementation of the new EU regulatory and supervisory structure, and officials from public authorities, ministries, central banks, etc. Financial institutions and their compliance departments, as well as other interested parties from both public and private sectors are welcome to attend. Basic knowledge of the EU financial legislative structure is advisable.

Description

The seminar will provide an overview of the recent developments in the post-financial crisis era, both from an EU regulatory standpoint, and from the input and initiatives emanating from Basel and the G-20.

Learning Methodology

A series of lectures from specialists in the European Commission, European Central Bank, European Banking Authority, Basel Committee of Banking Supervisors, academia, financial institutions and others will provide an insight into new and recent developments that are aiming to change the financial architecture in the post-financial crisis era.

Ample time will be provided for questions and discussion with the speakers.

Objectives

The seminar aims to provide an understanding of what the new regulatory proposals mean for financial institutions and their strategy in the (near) future, as well as an insight into the new legislation and how this will shape the landscape in which financial institutions need to operate.

Dit onderzoeksinstituut streeft ernaar om de kennis van ambtenaren die zich met de EU bezighouden te vergroten door het ontwikkelen en aanbieden van uiteenlopende hoogwaardige diensten zoals lespakketten. Het instituut wil wetenschappelijke kennis en praktische 'know-how' met elkaar verbinden.
