An event entitled 'Eurosoil 2012: social science for the benefit of mankind and environment' will take place from 2 to 6 July 2012 in Bari, Italy.
Soil science is the study of soil as a natural resource. Scientists have raised concerns about how to preserve soil and arable land in a world with a growing population, possible future water crisis, increasing per capita food consumption, and land degradation.
The conference will look at the various aspects of fundamental and applied soil science and technology, in relation to present and future needs. It will also bring together researchers, scientists, educators, and decision makers involved in soil science and related disciplines.
