LiveWell for low impact food in Europe (LIFE) is a pioneering EC funded project that introduces the concept of a healthy and sustainable diet which offers significant health benefits to EU citizens while contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions from the EU food supply chain.
This first stakeholder workshop aims to evaluate the pilot countries case studies (France, Spain and Sweden) and the viability of the LiveWell Plate as a tool to define and communicate sustainable diets across the EU. Moreover, it will assess the key sustainability and nutritional components of the plate against the following criteria: location and method of production, seasonality, sources of protein, climate benefits and nutritional balance. In addition, it will evaluate the extent to which cultural factors are considered in the methodology and reflected in the country specific diets.
Participation is by invitation only, with just 50 spaces available.
