Member States, social partners, NGO's, private actors and young people will discuss employment and inclusion of youth in a time of crisis at a two day conference in Horsens, Denmark
The economic crisis is having a particularly negative impact on the working, living and educational conditions of young Europeans who struggle to enter the labour market and risk social exclusion.
Urgent solutions are needed, and these serious challenges will be discussed at the Conference on 'Youth: Employment and Inclusion in times of crisis' on 26 and 27 April in Horsens, Denmark. The conference will attempt to give answers to the following key questions:

-What measures need to be taken in order to ensure access to the labour market for young people in times of crisis?
-
-How can social inclusion measures enable better transitions into the labour market?
-
-How do we enhance skills among young people without a job in times of crisis?
The Conference will be solution oriented and focus on best practice sharing and discussions between the Member States, social partners, NGO's, private actors and young people. The Danish Minister for Employment, Ms. Mette Frederiksen, will open the Conference, and the Danish Minister for Social Affairs and Integration, Ms. Karen Hækkerup, will conclude the Conference.
During the Conference, the speakers will share experiences and discuss ways to solve the current challenges facing young Europeans. The plenary and workshop speakers include representatives from the OECD, the Council of Europe, European Youth Forum, Eurofound, Business Europe, ETUC, CEEP, EESC, European Social Network, Eurocities, various researchers and numerous Member State representatives.
