Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence - Annual conference of European Union Researchers

The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence organizes the second annual Jean Monnet Conference.

This conference aims to present new research of researchers from the region Leiden - The Hague, focusing on the response measures and solutions for the current European Crisis. The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence seeks papers on a very wide range of topics pertaining to the (new) challenges the EU is facing and the responses the Union and its member states are devising to these challenges. Based on the responses, papers will be allocated to one of several panels. The conferense is also open to attendants.

At the conference, researches will present their papers and research in one of the three panels:

  • 1.
The EU and national administrations: does intergovernmentalism lead to more national participation?
  • 2.
EU performance in the international arena: overtaken by others? CFSP, ENP, trade and the EU in international fora.

The subject of the panel is open to suggestions, based on the responses.
