Discussion sessions on the state of the Parliament - Montesquieu Institute

Montesquieu Institute

Vergaderzaal Tweede Kamer

The position of the traditional political parties, such as the CDA and the PvdA, and the rise of more populist movements, such as the PVV, is the theme of the new series of discussion sessions on 'The state of the Parliament', organised by the Montesquieu Institute in cooperation with the newspaper Trouw. In March a discussion was held about the position of the Dutch First Chamer (Senate).

The design of the sessions is the same as last Spring: a scholar will provide an introduction on the day as well as a piece in Trouw previous to the session. A person in a political profession will comment on the introduction and afterwards there will be plenty of room for discussion. The discussions will be moderated by Hans Goslinga from the Trouw-newspaper. All sessions will be held in The Hague.
