Montesquieu Institute

Anne Rasmussen

As of 1 June 2010, the Montesquieu Institute welcomes Anne Rasmussen as Montesquieu fellow. She is an assistant professor of public administration at Leiden University.

At this institute she conducts research on the diversity and density of representation to the different European Union institutions across a range of different policy agendas.

This research project fits within her broader research interest in legislative politics and representation both in the EU and at the national level. Her current research analyzes intra- and inter-institutional relations in the European Union. She also examines how the European Union affects interest group behaviour, national parties and national administration in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Denmark. Furthermore, she has a strong interest in research design and methodology as well as in the US political system.

She has published articles on these topics in journals such as European Union Politics, Journal of European Public Policy, and West European Politics.
