Directorate-General Enlargement (ELARG) - Montesquieu Institute

This Directorate-General is responsible for the enlargement of the EU and monitors the neccessary preparations.

The main tasks of the DG are:

• - 

  completing negotiations with Iceland and Croatia
• - 

  conducting negotiations about the possible enlargement with Turkey, the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro
• - 

  conducting pre-accessions talks with Albania, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Serb Republic.
